RE: 2009 Tiffin Phaeton Engine Rebuild

So you are trusting a computer to tell you that you need a new engine? 230 degrees should not hurt the engine beyond repair. Did it shut down by itself, or did you shut it off? You might just have a bad temp sender.

RE: Tow truck ideas / advice

Well the only thing left is new tires. You've thrown everything else at .

RE: New To Whole RV Life, Looking For Info & Recommendations

All toy haulers will require a 3/4 Ton pickup. Don't let an RV salesman tell you differently. Why new? Good used RV's are available. Used pickups: not so much. If you want to live the life, you have to spend the money.

RE: Tanks on 5th wheel, how many and how do they work?

WOWZA! I think you need to call a mobile RV tech and have help with your problems. Or find a veteran RV'er that might be willing to help.

RE: Recommendations for how to handle AC Condensation

Raise the front or back up a little bit so the condensate runs off the roof

RE: Cabin air conditioner

Says an E450. That would be a class C. Check all the circuit breakers.

RE: Camping Recommendations For Yellowstone

West Yellowstone MT is the closest to the park, without staying in the park. No matter where you stay you will be doing a lot of driving. Yellowstone NP is huge.

RE: Selling an RV/payment

I think you will have to deal with a bank. Not too many buyers are going to show up at your door with a Walmart bag full of cash.

RE: Can't get key fob for a sprinter

RE: Securing Portable AC unit When traveling

I think the open vent will remove more cool air than the A/C can put out. And you will have condensate to consider. Since you already have one, try it and see if works. Maybe a bungee strap to hold it in place. Report back with your results.

RE: Around Chicago west to east?

How far out of your way are you willing to go. Us30 is worse than I80. Take I39 S to I80 E. Time your trip to be on I80 after 10AM and before 2PM. Or 9PM to 5 AM.

RE: Removing cabinets

Of course the cabinets and bunk add structural integrity to the TT. Will it "explode" going down the road? Probably not. But it has been weakened. OTOH you have removed weight from high inside the TT so that may be a good thing.

RE: salvage title

Don't worry about it. The ins. co. can't issue a salvage title. The state issues titles.

RE: Wheel Dust Caps

Yes you need the dust caps. They are on for a reason. Dust caps don't just fall off. They weren't installed properly or you hit something and knocked them off.

RE: Is a roof leak covered by warranty?

They will say it's a maintenace issue to try and weasel out of paying.
